5th Element NI is a Hip-Hop based charity working in Belfast, organised by local Hip-Hop enthusiasts, and active participants in the culture. The team, comprised of musicians, lyricists, dancers, and artists, is dedicated to delivering creative projects that engage local communities. The team shares the same passion about spreading positive Hip-Hop culture, to provide people with new ways to express themselves through different disciplines, with mental health issues being the central focus for the charity.
The disciplines of the organisation are to run social outreach projects, work with different groups in the city, cross-community initiatives that promote inclusivity, creative arts projects covering the four elements of Hip-Hop culture. As well as give communities exposure to positive Hip-Hop culture, pass on transferable skills, and disciplines and encouraging creativity, self-expression, and positive lifestyle choices.
By introducing various Hip-Hop art forms, covering street art, dance, lyricism & MCing, DJing & music production the organisation hope to engage local communities and use their social outreach programmes to offer workshops in music production, break dancing, street art, and lyric writing.
The event on 16th November is a free all-ages show with any donations received will be put towards creative projects for local communities. For more information visit the 5th Element NI website: http://www.5thelementni.org/
