A Safe Space for the Girls: empowering event by Toshín | DRCC & We-Consent
"A Safe Space for the Girls" is an an evening full of openness, honesty, hope and some wonderful musical and poetic performances from Toshín, Celaviedmai, Ashley Chadamoyo (GalPal Collective) and Sam Stewart (Sam's Collective).
Hosted by Toshín in support of the We-Consent Campaign from Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
Throughout the evening, we will hear music, spoken word and our performers will share experiences about overcoming traumas, healing and building a supportive community. We want to create a space that melds the light and the dark by allowing the performers to share their experiences and also the art which it has inspired. Alongside the difficult moments, there is also laughter and beauty, and we want this event to reflect that. Please note that themes raised by some of our performers may be triggering to some attendees.
This event is exclusively for women. We welcome all women including cis and trans women and gender non-conforming people.
