About rachel
With an MA in Theatre, Rachel has toured extensively, performing at notable events such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Prague Fringe Festival, Hellfest, Knockanstockan, Electric Picnic, and even the legendary Moulin Rouge. Her work is deeply rooted in combining art forms, drawing on her diverse talents to create impactful, thought-provoking pieces.
Her notable works include Indirect Prison, a poem and video addressing Ireland's Direct Provision system, which debuted at the Axis Theatre as part of When I Grow Up. She has performed spoken word at The Grand Social, The Workman’s Club, Sin É, The Moat Theatre, Kilcock Library, and on a European tour in Berlin’s Theater Im Kino and De Nijverheid, The Netherlands.
In addition to her performances, Rachel has curated The Dublin Poetry Brothel, facilitated groups for Poetry Ireland’s WrapAround Project, and collaborated with UISCE, using Theatre of the Oppressed techniques to explore issues of addiction with drug users.
Rachel’s work consistently delves into themes of femininity, social issues, modern youth, relationships, the occult, and the dark side of the psyche, making her a unique and impactful presence in any artistic setting.
Her work has been published on pendemic.ie and The 2 Meter Review, and she has curated and performed at The Word Stage at Electric Picnic in 2022 and 2024.
