Laureate na nÓg in association with Linenhall Arts Centre presents an exciting event featuring young Mayo poets alongside Laureate na nÓg Sarah Crossan, special guest poet Colm Keegan, and MC poet Alice Kinsella.

A night of exciting spoken word performance with wonderful prizes. You are invited to come along with your poetry, prose, song or yarn. There will be judges, rounds, bells, timekeepers, losers and outright winners.

A much-loved festival fixture, this Open Mic night draws poets and musicians from all over to perform their work. The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the winners of the annual Westival International Poetry Competition, which attracts huge volumes of entries from around the world. With a first prize of €1,000, the competition is judged by three highly acclaimed Irish poets, Ger Reidy, Geraldine Mitchell and John McAuliffe.
